Our Portfolio Company Programme provides entrepreneurs and management teams with the ideal platform to network, and share insights and best practise. Following on from our recent ESG Forum and CFO Forum in London, we headed to Munich to host our Sales & Marketing Forum, bringing together marketing experts from across our management teams to network and share key learnings. From social media influencers to TikTok reels, loyalty clubs and simple mailshots , we look at the best marketing hacks to drive growth.

Tim Bell, Chief Marketing Officer at Vice Golf

"We sell many golf balls to a US audience. We have six unique models and five to six limited editions per year. We basically have high performing products and an amazing price with design on top: these are the three USPs of the company. Like most people in online marketing, we are looking at automation possibilities including the use of machine learning and paid social, especially advantage plus shopping campaigns on Facebook, as well as catalogue ads with bespoke templates- these give us a real cutting edge. And this year, we're going a little further up the funnel to generate more and more brand awareness. Oakley’s Sales & Marketing Forum has been a great opportunity to network and share ideas. Looking for the superpower that every company has that we could implement with our own firm has been superbly interesting and rewarding."

Johann Griebl, Managing Director at Gymondo

"We are the leading fitness and wellbeing platform in the DACH region. With 500,000 paying subscribers on our platform, our mission is to empower people to lead a fit and positive life and we do that with a product that basically enables everyone to start setting up a routine to pursue sports and wellbeing. One of the innovations I think we are striving for in our marketing strategy is scaling our influencer marketing programme, bringing it to the next level by building more long-lasting partnerships with content creators, building integrated marketing concepts around them, and basically trying to get new customers and users on the platform."

Alex Kroesser, Chief Marketing Officer at IU Group

"IU International University is Germany's largest university. With over 100,000 students as of 2022, we offer higher education and various degrees from bachelor to master to MBAs in various formats, our most important one being distance learning. We also offer dual studies in Germany. One of the things that's really challenging and exciting for us in marketing right now is the opportunity to incorporate everything that's happening in the sphere of artificial intelligence or AI and we think that we will see this with the sudden arrival of ChatGPT and its impact on our processes: we’re thinking about how we can leverage it to help our students, how we can bring it into marketing, and how we can learn what is possible."
