vLex
vLex is a cloud-based legal information subscription platform serving law firms, enterprises and legal professionals globally.
vLex
Built on one of the most extensive proprietary legal content databases in the market, vLex enables users to research, analyse and apply legal information more efficiently across jurisdictions. The platform has increasingly differentiated itself through technology, including the development of Vincent AI, positioning vLex at the forefront of legaltech innovation.
Under Oakley Capital’s ownership, value creation focused on accelerating product innovation and professionalising the business while preserving its founder-led culture. Oakley partnered closely with management to leverage vLex’s unique data assets, supporting the launch and rapid scaling of Vincent AI into clearly defined ‘right-to-win’ segments. At the same time, the management team was strengthened with key senior hires, sharpening the go-to-market strategy and aligning the organisation for international scale.
A major driver of value was the successful expansion into the US market. This included the transformational acquisition of Fastcase, a restructured US go-to-market model, local leadership appointments and tailored product packaging for enterprise customers. The result was rapid growth in US revenues, strong momentum in AI-driven ARR and vLex’s evolution into a global category leader. This transformation culminated in vLex achieving unicorn status and a successful exit to Clio in October 2025, a strategic acquirer and leader in legal technology.
